Wentworth Health Care
Breath of Fresh Air campaign
The high levels of smoking in Indigenous communities is a contributing factor to health gaps our communities currently face. We are passionate about doing all we can to improve the health of our communities, and so we were thrilled to work the Wentworth Health Care on a project to encourage people in community to stop smoking.
based in the Blue Mountains in Sydney’s west, Wentworth Health Care is a a not-for-profit organisation that woks to improve health for the local community.
The client were looking for several materials to promote an important health message about the negative impacts smoking having in Indigenous communities.
In particular, the client wanted to show how strength in culture and identity could help people to quit, or not take up smoking to begin with.
They wanted their animation to be highly emotive and to connect with themes of traditional culture, Indigenous spirituality and story telling.
We delivered an animation, animated gifs, social media graphics and a stakeholder engagement strategy launched on World National Tobacco Day, 2019.
The animation used artwork developed by Aboriginal artist, Jordan Ardler, and music by Aboriginal composer, James Henry.
We’d like to thank the community members and stakeholders that joined with us on this collaboration, we couldn’t have done it without you!
