Mayrah Sonter is a proud Wiradjuri woman with close ties to Sydney’s Aboriginal community of Redfern. With over a decade of experience producing events and media for corporate and government organisations, Mayrah is also an accomplished communications professional and presenter.

Mayrah inspires the team each and every day with her infectious work-ethic, can-do attitude, and boundless enthusiasm. What motivates her the most is doing meaningful work that helps to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and getting to work with a team of hardworking and compassionate individuals.

As head of events at the Deadly Vibe Group, Mayrah event-managed the Deadly Awards, the National Indigenous Vibe 3on3 Basketball and Hip Hop Challenge in communities across Australia, and the national Vibe Alive festivals.

Mayrah is the current Chair of the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA), is a member of the Google RAP Advisory Council and a member of the Commonwealth Bank’s Indigenous Advisory Committee.

Away from work, Mayrah has been a long time calisthenics coach, loves to watch home renovation shows and listen to podcasts.

When some well deserved downtime calls, you’ll likely find Mayrah hanging out with hubby Matt, meticulously planning some other aspect of her life, or sunning by the beach with a book in hand and her weekly planner never far from reach.
