Jacqueline Compton

Event and Community Engagement Manger

Proud Wuthathi and Torres Strait Island Woman, Jacqueline Compton (or Jax as we like to call her) is 33 Creative’s Event and Community Engagement Manager. Jax’s role involves working with community to deliver important events, campaigns and media. Jax also assists the team with creative and cultural content production and delivery.

A former professionally trained dancer, Jax has a long professional background working in the arts, culture, and education sectors. Jax says one of the most enjoyable aspects of her role at 33 Creative is getting to work alongside other talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are all passionate about their community.

Just one of the many reasons we love having Jax on the team is her habit of bringing to work some delicious home cook-ups. Her signature chicken vermicelli becoming an overnight office sensation.

Away from the office, Jax is passionate about family, arts and her culture, and along with husband Darren, runs cultural performance and education company – Muggera Cultural Enterprise.
