Gandangara Land Aboriginal Council – Yarning Circle
In 2022, our team had the opportunity to collaborate with the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council (GLALC), based in Western Sydney, to produce a community-focused video about the Land Council’s regular yarning circles, which serve as a safe and supportive space for local Aboriginal community members and GLALC staff to connect, reflect, and share stories.
Over the course of two days, we conducted on-location filming across two key sites. We interviewed and filmed several GLALC staff members, who generously shared their perspectives on the importance of these gatherings in promoting connection, wellbeing and health.
To complement the visual storytelling, we also recorded a scripted in-studio voice. This voiceover was designed to provide context, reinforce key messages, and guide viewers through the narrative in a warm and engaging way.

Our production team worked closely with GLALC throughout the entire process, from initial concept development and pre-production planning through to logistics coordination, scripting, and creative direction. This collaborative approach ensured that the final video remained aligned with GLALC’s values and voice, while meeting their strategic communication goals.
The result was a powerful and authentic video resource that GLALC has used to promote participation in yarning circles and strengthen engagement with their broader community.
