The Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) engaged us to manage two key events.
The annual CATSINaM Conference and Gala Dinner in 2015 was a three-day event held at the DoubleTree Hilton in Darwin and attended by delegates from around the country.
The inaugural CATSINaM Hall of Fame Awards Night and Gala Dinner in 2016 was held at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.
The gala evening was a celebration of the great work of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives, as well as acknowledging the outstanding work of the iconic CATSIM founder, Dr Sally Goold OAM, as the Congress’ first inductee to its Hall of Fame.
Our team was contracted to manage all elements (production, communications and entertainment) of both events.
Conference and Gala Dinner, 2015:
We developed and implemented a comprehensive project plan for the entire event, working in concert with CATSINaM to develop a detailed agenda, cultural activities, Welcome to Country, awards ceremony and entertainment.
We engaged, briefed and managed conference facilitators and talent, produced the complete conference including smooth processes for registrations and technical requirements, staged and technically produced the awards ceremony, managed the gala dinner for approximately 250 people, and managed budget and cash flow.
Our team also handled PR and communications for the event, developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy.
Hall of Fame Awards Night and Gala Dinner, 2016
Our team managed the entire plan and course of the evening. This included creative design and catering for approximately 500 people, developing and sticking to the running sheet, engaging, briefing and managing performers (including Welcome to Country Elder, two emcees, dance group and singers), managing the awards ceremony and seating plans, staging and technical production, and budget and cash flow.
We also produced communications and newsletters to promote the event.
