Care for Kids’ Ears involved the design and production of a suite of resources to increase awareness of ear disease and hearing loss in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Left untreated, ear infections can lead to hearing loss which may limit a child’s capacity to develop socially and emotionally. The Australian Government was searching for ways to distribute the information and materials in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
33 Creative was engaged to promote and distribute the range of educational materials available. We worked with support health professionals, child care workers and educational workers, enabling them to pass on key ear health messages to parents, carers, teachers and early childhood caregivers.
To help spread the word, we engaged a number of ambassadors to promote products and attend festivals and events. We developed and implemented a media and social media strategy, and conducted active stakeholder engagement over a number of months.
The result was strong interest and uptake of the campaign’s messages and materials.
