Australia’s Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) contracted 33 Creative for design, media and events management related to the release of the 2017 Closing the Gap Report — the high-profile annual report that communicates the Government’s agenda for Indigenous Affairs.
Our role was to design the publication along with associated web and presentation components, produce a video animation for the report’s launch and publicity, and event manage the Prime Minister’s ‘Celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Professionals Event’ to be held in the Prime Minister’s courtyard on the eve of the report’s tabling in Parliament.
Our team designed the 108-page (plus cover) full colour report for publication, including graphs, data, tables, graphics and images.
We developed the digital design and brand assets for an existing html template, video overlay and PowerPoint template, including colour palette, brand design element and style guide.
We also produced a short animation summing up the report’s narrative, and developed a plan for it to be shared across social media and hosted on DPMC as a part of the interactive report site. This included producing the storyboard presentation, research, script, music, imagery, voice and audio, design, motion graphics, music licensing and masters.
