Jake Keane

Jake Keane is a journalist with more than 10 years of media experience. A descendent of the Lama Lama and Gamiliroi people, Jake completed a Journalism Cadetship at Vibe Australia where he became the organisation’s Senior Editor (2008 to 2014). He was responsible for producing the nationally distributed Deadly Vibe magazine (both as co-writer and Senior Editor) and worked across a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander events and media products, including the nationally syndicated radio program Deadly Sounds, television programs Living Strong and Move it Mob Style, and the Deadly Awards.

Jake is also the former producer and co-host of Community Broadcasting Award winning Indigenous sports radio program Black Gold broadcast on Koori Radio and the National Indigenous Radio Service. As Communication Manager at Gadigal Information Service (Koori Radio) (2015-2016) Jake led the development of communications strategies, public relations campaigns, website development, social media and digital strategy.
