Marguerite Barbara

    Marguerite’s specialty is public relations, publicity, promotions and social media.

    With over 15 years experience, Marguerite has worked with some of Australia’s best-known talent in her previous roles at the ABC and at Icon Film Distribution including: Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, David Wenham, Marta Dussledorp, Richard Roxburgh and Kelton Pell. She has also developed successful publicity campaigns for international box-office hits The Queen, La Vie En Rose, The Passion of The Christ and Bend it Like Beckham.

    At the ABC, Marguerite worked on special Commercial projects including Play School’s 50th Anniversary, Bananas in Pyjamas 25 years, The Wiggles, Rake, Janet King and Chris Lilley’s Angry Boys and Jam’ie.

    She also spent time in the ABC Audience team managing the PR campaigns for the launch of ABC Education, ABC KIDS listen app and the premiere seasons of ABC ME’s Good Games and Behind The News.

    As a creative and Innovative thinker and an early adaptor of digital social communities, she has developed strategies to engage consumers via many successful social media campaigns including; Giggle and Hoot YouTube Channel launch, Google Play and iTunes pricing promotions, The Wiggles first Apple instore performance at the Sydney flagship store, and managing the ABC Entertains Me and ABC KIDS For Parents social accounts.
